Taking part in classes
I want to take part in yoga classes, workshops, private sessions and other activities at Still Point Yoga, and to use the studio’s rooms, mats and props while I do.
The risks. Yoga involves stretching, balance and physical effort. I understand that this carries a risk of strains, sprains, falls and other injuries, and that I may be sore afterward. I take part of my own free will and accept these risks.
My responsibility. I’ll work at my own pace and level, skip or change any pose that doesn’t feel right, and tell the teacher before class about anything that could affect my safety. I understand I can rest or stop at any time, and that yoga isn’t a substitute for medical advice. I’m responsible for checking with my own doctor or midwife about whether yoga is right for me, including during pregnancy.
Touch. Teachers may offer a hands-on adjustment only if I’ve said yes. I can say no at any time, before or during class, and my teacher will respect that.
Release. As far as the law allows, I release Still Point Yoga from any claims for injury, illness, loss or damage that come from my taking part, except those caused by its gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Emergencies. If I need emergency care, I allow staff to call for it, and I’m responsible for its cost.
This agreement. It covers my classes, workshops and private sessions for one year from the date I sign it. In this agreement, “Still Point Yoga” means the studio named on this website and its owners, teachers and staff.
I am 18 or older. I have read this agreement, I understand it, and I sign it of my own free will.
